Nokia Maps: Zooming In/Out on the E71

As an S60 ambassador I have recentley decided to apply for the Nokia Maps campaign and write a couple articles based around what I have found. In the past I really never enjoyed using the Nokia Maps application instead opting for much for user friendly solutions such as Google Maps and Amaze GPS. As with most map applications Nokia Maps includes the ability to zoom in/out of maps for closer inspection of streets and locations. In order to use this feature you generally press the * and # to zoom in/out. For most non qwerty S60 devices this is a simple task but on the E71 this is a nightmare. Pressing function key to activate the numberpad and zoom in/ out(* or #) is a hassle (especially when driving). As I have been using the Nokia Maps application more and more, I discovered a new and easier way to zooming in/out of the map without using the * and # button.
The two buttons are the “Up Arrow”(located between the function and @ symbol) and Backspace. These two buttons also initiate the zoom in/out commands but are alot easier to press and are also one touch. Hope that this tip can help out alot fo E71 users, I know its made my life easier using Nokia Maps.
