Nokia and Microsoft announce partnership.

Those looking to finally ditch QuickOffice on their Nokia’s, look no further!  Coming soon to Nokia smartphones (most likely will first start appearing on Nokia’s E-series devices) will be mobile versions of Microsoft’s popular applications thanks to a global alliance between Nokia and Microsoft.  Not only will software be coming to Nokia smartphones but also services as well.  Below are four key items that will start appearing on future Nokia smartphones.

There are four keys things that Microsoft will bring to Nokia smartphones:

  • The ability to view, edit, create and share Office documents on more devices in more places with mobile-optimized versions of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OneNote
  • Enterprise instant messaging and presence, and optimized conferencing and collaboration experience with Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile
  • Mobile access to intranet and extranet portals built on Microsoft SharePoint Server
  • Enterprise device management withMicrosoft System Center
