Getting Connected: Galaxy S on OSX

For a couple days I struggled with not being able to access the internal memory on the Galaxy S (Vibrant). After trial and error I was suggested by a friend to make sure that the device was in USB Mass Storage mode. I checked the settings and I seemed to have it correct. I was able to test the settings on a PC without any issue. The trick to getting a OSX device to recognize the Galaxy S is to put the unit into debugging mode. This allows full access to the internal storage as well as the memory card.

Go to Settings.
Applications
Development
Check USB Debugging

After this is checked you should have full access to the internal storage via your OSX device.

XDA-Developers has been working hard to load Google’s Android on a Windows Mobile device. Today we have success with a nearly complete working (missing GPS, sound, Bluetooth) build of Android running on a TouchPro2. PocketNow has a wonderful walkthrough of Android on a CDMA TouchPro2.

AMOLED Face Off: Google N1 and Nokia N86

I took some side by side photos of the screens. It was hard to see the difference but it was clear that the N1 has a gorgeous screen that is much larger. Although some of the hues in the red were a bit deeper. You be the judge.

HTC HD2 Pricing Revealed

TmoNews has some screens of supposed pricing of the HD2 which is looking mighty enticing. The handset will go on sale for 199.99 with contract and 449.99 without on March 24th. One word of caution Microsoft has not mentioned whether this handset will support/be upgradable to WinMo 7.

TMobile users who are looking to purchase the HTC HD2 will be in for a treat (when it actually releases), amongst some of the bundled goodies, the ones that stick out is the 16gb microsd card, two transformer movies preloaded, and a few interesting applications. Among one of the them is the BlockBuster application which will allow users to download movies directly to their mobile, and a application to access the Barnes and Noble E-library. I dont know how much battery life this device has but I hope its a ton because using those tow applications alone I could only imagine would kill the battery.
